Gutter Cleaning Work Sent to Your Phone

If you run a gutter vacuum, a window cleaning round with gutters on the side, or a small roofline repair business, Leads Do Work can put you in front of homeowners who have just asked for a price. Requests made on Cleaning Gutters are sorted by the type of gutter job and the postcode, then offered to businesses that have chosen that work and that area.

Signing up costs nothing. Set the jobs and districts you want, look through what is coming in on the Leads Do Work app, and only buy when you want the homeowners' contact details — in packs of 5, 10 or 20 leads, whichever fits the gaps in your week.

Check the Area First

Before spending anything, you can see what sort of gutter requests are turning up around your base. Gutter work follows the weather more than most trades — it builds as the leaves drop, jumps with the first proper winter storm and tails off in summer — so the number of enquiries in any given week will vary and cannot be promised.

Choosing a Pack Size

5 leads

A good fit for a sole trader with a gutter vacuum who wants to fill a few quiet days, or a window cleaning round adding gutters for the first time.

10 leads

Works for a one- or two-van operation that wants a steady run of domestic cleans and small repairs through the autumn.

20 leads

Makes sense for an established exterior cleaning or roofline firm that can get a quote back the same day across several towns.

Types of Gutter Leads

  • full gutter cleans on houses, bungalows and small blocks of flats;
  • urgent call-outs for overflowing or blocked gutters;
  • gutter guard, brush and mesh installation;
  • downpipe unblocking and repairs;
  • re-bracketing and re-aligning sagging gutters; and
  • leaking joint, corner and stop-end repairs.

From Sign-Up to Booked Job

  1. Set up your account. Enter your company name, insurance, the gutter services you offer and the postcodes you travel to.
  2. Look at what is coming in. The app lists gutter requests near you with a short description of each.
  3. Buy when it suits you. Pick up 5, 10 or 20 leads to unlock homeowner contact details.
  4. Phone or message the customer. Check the house type and access, then give your price.
  5. Run the job on your terms. The booking, payment and any follow-up are between you and the homeowner.

Up to four businesses may be offered the same request, so speed and a clear price help. Buying a lead gives you the chance to quote; it does not guarantee the work.

Price the Job Before You Drive Out

Most gutter cleans can be priced from a phone call. Ask how many storeys the property has, whether there is side access to the rear, whether a conservatory, flat roof or bay sits under any of the gutters, and whether there are trees close to the roof. A street-view check will show the gutter profile and roughly how many metres you are dealing with. For blocked gutters, ask where the overflow is and whether the downpipe below it runs at all.

Repairs and guards are easier to price after a quick look, but a homeowner's photos of the problem section often tell you whether it is a seal, a bracket or a cracked length before you arrive.

Make Your Quote Easy to Compare

Homeowners comparing three or four prices tend to choose the one that is clearest about what they will get. Spell out which gutters are covered, whether downpipes are tested and cleared, what happens to the debris and whether before-and-after photos are included.

  • list every gutter run in the price, including garages, porches and extensions;
  • say whether downpipes are flushed as standard or charged separately;
  • explain how you will reach the gutters — vacuum from the ground, ladder or tower;
  • offer to price any repairs found on the day before carrying them out;
  • mention camera or photo proof of the finished job; and
  • make any annual or repeat-visit discount clear.

Turn One Clean into Repeat Work

Gutter cleaning is a natural repeat service. A customer whose gutters fill up every autumn will need the same job next year, and a short reminder or an annual plan offered at the end of the visit often turns a single lead into regular work. Many homeowners also ask about fascia and soffit cleaning, conservatory roof cleaning or guards once they have seen how full the gutters were.

Reply Between Jobs

Gutter customers often book whoever rings back first, especially when water is already coming over the edge. With the app on your phone you can read a new request while the vacuum is packing away, see the address and description, and call the homeowner before they have heard from anyone else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does buying a gutter lead mean I get the job?

No. You get the homeowner's details and the chance to quote. Whether they book depends on your price, availability and how quickly you get in touch.

Can I pick only cleaning jobs and skip repairs?

Yes. Choose just the gutter services you offer, such as cleaning or blocked gutters, and leave out repairs or guards if they are not for you.

How many other companies see the same request?

A single homeowner request can go to a maximum of four businesses.

When is demand for gutter cleaning highest?

Enquiries usually rise from October as leaves fall and peak with the first heavy winter rain, with a smaller rise in spring.
